Prayer Request
Greetings Fellow Children of God: We are now in “fire season”, and there are currently 19 active wildfires in the province, with most of them in our diocese.
The town of Boyle was evacuated late yesterday due to a fire immediately south of the town and the fire is heading north.
I ask you to join me in prayer:
Dear loving Father,
We ask for the safety of all involved or near fires this season. We ask for the safety of their persons, their homes, their livelihood. Please guide the firefighters and aid agencies in removing danger and aiding all those affected. If people are required to evacuate, that this be done orderly and without mishap, and that people can return to their homes with all their belongings intact. Please also guide us, your people, in reaching out and strengthening those affected as best we can.
Specifically at this time we ask for the safety and well being of the people of Boyle and surrounding area, including fellow-members of our diocese, of the Parishes of Northern Lights and Athabasca. May your guiding hand be upon them Lord, may you provide them with all they need at this time of necessity, keep their homes and farms safe, and may you give them your shalom: peace, health, wholeness, wellness.
We thank you Lord that we can trust you to be with us at all times, especially in our times of need.
To your glory;
Amen.
