The Rt Rev. Dr. Wilson E. Kamani has started the Bible Reading Marathon in his diocese. He wrote the following to our diocese about his experience.
Dear + David and Canon Peter,
Greetings to you from Ibba. Bible Marathon is well received in Ibba. I introduced it in the Holy Week at St Barnabas Cathedral and there are good comments from the Christians about it. Many people turned out to listen and also many people developed interest to read.
The only challenge we receive is linked to the loud speaker, the loud speaker we borrowed was very small unable to cover big area. In our today's evaluation, people appreciated it and made some recommendations:
Participants recommended that the Bible Marathon must be done every year.
Secondly the issue of audible loud speaker must be addressed to enable people hear the readings clearly. Thank you all for including me in this program. Pray for us as we strategize ourselves for the next one ahead of us. Nearby dioceses have heard about it and are looking forward to introducing it in thier respective dioceses.
God Bless
