Musicians from Peace River will be sharing their skills at the Sunday morning service at St. Luke's, Beaverlodge on November 24, 2024. The service begins at 10:30 am. All are welcome to attend.
Running every Wednesday from November 27th until December 18th, the Rev. Dr. Maryann Amor, Christ Church, Grande Prairie is holding an Advent series called: Carols of Expectation: Singing Our Way to the Manger. We will listen to Christmas carols, look at what they are saying about Jesus, then go over the history of the carols and end with a meditation. If anyone in the diocese wants to attend, they are welcome, they just need to email the Rev. Dr. Maryann Amor (revdrmaryann@gmail.com) and let her know so she can send them the Zoom link.
The congregation of St. Luke's, Beaverlodge will be holding an ACW Christmas Tea, Bake & Craft Sale on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. All are welcome to come enjoy the festivities.
The parish of Christ Church, Grande Prairie will be holding a tea and bake sale on Saturday, November 30th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. Come for tea and shop for some holiday goodies and presents.
There will be an open house at St. Andrew's, Lac La Biche so that people can come visit and see the newly renovated church building. All are welcome .
As part of the Diocese of Athabasca's 150th Anniversary Celebrations the parish of St. Andrew's, Lac La Biche will be having a Reopening & Re-Dedication Service on Sunday, December 1, 2024 starting at 1:00 pm. All are welcome to join in with the celebrations.
The congregation of St. Luke's, Beaverlodge will be participating in an Ecumenical Nine Lessons and Carols Service that will be held in the Alliance Church in Beaverlodge on Sunday, December 1, 2024. The service begins at 6:00 pm.
You are invited to come and take part in a Live Nativity. Costumes are provided, readings are shared, singing is joyous, come experience the true meaning of Christmas. Refreshments follow the service.
Come for refreshments and shop for Christmas goodies. The festivities are from 1:00 - 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 7, 2024. All are welcome.
The congregation of All Saints', Fort McMurray will be holding a Christmas Lessons and Carols Service on Sunday, December 15, 2024 starting at 6:30 pm.
On Sunday, December 15th @ 11:00 am St. Andrew's Zion will be having a Lessons and Carols Service followed by potluck lunch. All are welcome!
Saturday, December 16 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at St. Andrew's Zion Church in Colinton.
Visit around the campfire, roast hotdogs and marshmallows, and sing Christmas Carols. Everyone is welcome to this free event.
An evening service of Lessons & Carols for the whole community will be held at All Saints', Anglican Church on Thursday, December 19, 2024. All are welcome to join this ecumenical service.
The next ACW conference will be helf in Grimshaw May 2-4, 2025. Please put this in your calendars so that you do not miss this get together for the women of the diocese.

Last year, as part of the 150th Celebrations of the Diocese the GIFT Camp was held at Camp Artaban. It was such a success that several participants have asked that we do it again. The next Diocesan Family Camp will be held July 31 – August 3, 2025 at Camp Artaban. Save the dates in your calendar. Stay in touch for more information to come.
