The Parish of High Prairie is challenging all the parish in the Diocese of Athabasca to raise funds to purchase bicycles for the Diocese of Ibba, our Partner Diocese.

Bishop Wilson Kamani, in a recent message to this diocese, told of the need for 15 Bicycles for women of the Mothers Union, in order that they can get to meetings, this was not possible in 2024, due to distances needed to be walked.
The High Prairie Parish has already committed to purchase 6 bicycles at a cost of $600.00 Cdn each. We may be able to purchase more once we invite parish members to contribute.
Our challenge is to all parishes in the diocese to help meet the needs of our partner diocese in Africa. The bicycles and their shipment to IBBA from a neighbouring country costs $ 600 each.
It would be a wonderful outreach to help the considerable work of the Mothers Union if we could supply funds for all 15 bicycles, as soon as possible.
Please consider what your parish can contribute to this endeavour for the Diocese of Ibba.
The Rev. Deacon Peter Clarke.
