Deconsecration of St.Paul's, Goodwin
In Emmanuel Parish of East Smoky
St.Paul’s Anglican church Goodwin opened its doors on Aug 19, 1939. It provided a group of faithful parishioners with a place of worship, faith and community fellowship.
On September 17,2026 friends and families gathered together to share their heartfelt memories and history of the church through the years.
A service of Holy Eucharist was led by Bishop David Greenwood, Bishop of the Diocese of Athabasca. Eucharist was followed by a declaration of deconsecration of the church.
The building will remain at the junction of highway 43 and the Forestry Trunk Rd.
Right where it was planted those many years ago.
It’s new stewards will be the Debolt Museum Society. We look forward to its reopening as a museum.
