The Diocesan Executive Council has recently updated most of the Regulations we use, and more updates are coming shortly.  Clergy and Wardens should make themselves familiar with our Diocesan Handbook (our Act of Incorporation, Constitution, Canons, Regulations), and Bishop’s Guidelines, which can be found at https://athdio.ca/resources/diocesan.

One important item for all parishes to be aware of is that, due to rising insurance, maintenance, and fuel costs, the diocesan travel reimbursement (regulation # 9) has been updated from 48 cents per kilometre to 60 cents per kilometre as of January 1, 2026, with the proviso of:

"If a parish is unable to pay the travel rate according to this regulation, the parish may consult with the Regional Dean who in turn will bring a request to the Management Committee for consideration."

This change updates the regulation to more fairly recompense clergy and others who have to travel on diocesan business.
