Each person in the congregation received a paper heart, footprint, handprint, or shirt. Throughout the service, they were invited to write or draw words and images that came to mind. These were collected, laminated, and strung together to form bunting now displayed in the church (see attached photos).
The voices of our youth were also woven into the service. Earlier in September, our youth group reflected on Orange Shirt Day; their insights were recorded and compiled into a video that was shared during the sermon. The link can be found below.
