The Bishop and his wife travelled to Fort Vermilion this past weekend. On their way, they stopped in High Level to see the renovations that have been completed on the house owned by the diocese. The house had previously sustained water and mold damage, which was repaired through an insurance claim. The property is looking excellent. The EBMC group renting the house for their church has installed a new roof, replaced the windows and doors, and completed painting and repairs to the building. They are taking very good care of the property.
After visiting High Level, the Bishop and his wife travelled on to Fort Vermilion, where they picked up Erika Dittrich to visit the Rev. Hermann Dittrich. Recently, Hermann became a resident of the nursing home in La Crete. He is doing well there and has shown much improvement since the Bishop's last visit. He always enjoys receiving visitors, so if you are in the area, please consider stopping by for a chat.
Erika hosted the Bishop and his wife that evening, and the next morning the Bishop led the Eucharist service at St. Luke’s. Following the service, everyone enjoyed a wonderful potluck lunch. The congregation was warm and welcoming, making it a joy to spend time together.
