The Bishop joined the congregation of St. Paul’s, Fort Chipewyan, for an evening Eucharist service. Earlier that day, on January 11, he had presided at a Eucharist service and parish meeting at St. Thomas’, Fort McMurray, before driving north to Fort Chipewyan.

On January 11 the bishop, his wife and Brian, Robin-Lee and Michael Vance all participated in the Eucharist Service in the morning at St. Thomas', Fort McMurray.  After the service the congregation joined in for a visit with the bishop.

Following the morning service the bishop, his wife and the Vances were joined by the Rev. Leon Cadsap to drive to Fort Chipewyan on the winter road.  They arrived to join the parish of St. Paul's, Fort Chipewyan for an evening Eucharist Service which included the joyful singing of Christmas carols.

The following morning, the group travelled back to Fort McMurray via the winter road. Due to freezing rain, the journey took over six hours, with a few adventures along the way.

It was a wonderful visit, and the Bishop is grateful to the congregations of St. Thomas' and St. Paul’s for their warm welcome, participation in the service, and joyful singing.
