"The following was received yesterday regarding our beloved Bishop Geoff Woodcroft:

'Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

It is with deep sadness that I share the following news. 

I have just left the side of our Bishop Geoff who has been in the hospital since very early this morning. He has asked me to advise you that he has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. His wishes are to proceed immediately onto Long Term Disability.

At this time, he asks for privacy as he and his family begin the first few steps of this journey. Please pray for +Geoff, his wife Jennifer, and his daughters Jakkalyn and Melodi; as well as for the medical professionals and care givers that will care of him.

Geoff is one of those wonderful folks who just warms up to each and every person he meets, as St. Helen's and the folks in Lake St. Martin - St. John's have each experienced.  

Our prayers for Geoff, Jennifer and his daughters ascend as this note is written.
