Diocesan Prayers
|
Prayer for the DioceseWeek 1 of Advent God of Abraham andSarah, and all the patriarchs and matriarchs of old, you are our God too. Your love is revealed to us in Jesus Christ, Son of God and Son of David. Help us in preparing to celebrate his birth, to make our hearts ready for your Holy Spirit and to make his home among us. Grant us the grace to hope in you with unwavering trust. As we begin this season of Advent, may our hearts be filled with the hope that comes from knowing your promises are true. We ask this through Jesus Christ, the light who is coming into the world. Amen. |

Feeling Sick?
Not feeling well? We have a solution. Cold and flu season is upon us, and COVID persists in all its variations. Please remember that a minor infection for one person can be a major sickness for someone else, especially the more vulnerable members of our communities. If you are feeling unwell (ie. have a cough, runny nose, sore throat, chest congestion, fever...), let your parish (or us!) know, so we can pray for you. And perhaps give yourself a break by staying home if you can — as we know, this also helps to prevent spreading germs to others. Worried about missing worship? Don't be! There are plenty of options for worshipping online with a parish community in the Diocese of Athabasca. Click on the button below to find out more! For more infomation visit:
