Join the St. James Family as we begin a new season of fellowship and growth!

As summer winds down and the new school year begins, we would like to invite you to a Back to Worship Sunday.  Join us on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at 10:30 AM as we kick off a new season of worship, fellowship, and growth together.

After the service, we will have a lunch with Beef on a Bun and potluck salads and deserts in the Lower Hall.

This is a great opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and make new friends in our church family.

Whether you've been with us for years, have been away, or are looking for a new spiritual home, all are welcome. We miss you and hope to see you there!

St. Bartholomew's, Grimshaw, Christ Church, Berwyn, and Christ Church, Grande Prairie are collaborating and will be holding a prayer time. It will be held at The Maples in Dunvegan on a Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.  This is central to the location of the churches and is at a time for those who prefer not to drive after dark.  All are welcome.  

You are invited to a Zoom meeting Thursday, September 18, 2025 starting at 7:00 pm.

Parishes of the dioceses of Athabasca and Edmonton are invited to observe September 21 as Alongside Hope Sunday. As they did last year, diocesan reps are preparing resources, including a sample Order of Service for parishes to use, if they so choose. Donation envelopes and additional resources will be mailed to parishes from the Synod Office. Watch this space for updates!

Jamie McIlvenna will be ordaned as a deacon on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at All Saints', Fort McMurray.  The Eucharist service begins at 10:30 am.  All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

We have 20 white gowns, 3 maroon, 3 black and 10 blue gowns and wondering if any of the other church’s in our diocese would like any of them.
