Prayer for the DioceseAlmighty God, we lift to You the Diocese of Athabasca, the Bishop, clergy, and all the saints worshipping in our diocese and beyond. As we journey through this Easter season, fill our hearts with the joy and power of your resurrection. We pray for the 17 parishes across our vast northern region—that they may be beacons of light, welcoming communities, and faithful witnesses to the Gospel. We pray for the upcoming Women’s Conference hosted by the Parish of Northern Lights and for all Lenten projects being completed, that they may bear fruit. Grant wisdom and strength to Bishop David Greenwood, lay leaders, and volunteers. Guide them in their planning for future ministry and the upcoming Synod. We ask for your blessing upon the communities we serve. Protect all who travel, strengthen the weary, and provide for the needs of our neighbors, body, spirit, and soul. May our efforts to serve in the North bring glory to your name. Keep us united in faith, hope, and love, grounded upon the good news of Jesus Christ. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who makes all things new. Amen. |
