Lord God, we thank you for the new life of springtime, for the reawakening of the world around us, and for the bright green leaves of a new season. We thank you for the new life found in Christ that is with us right now and every day. We lift up the Diocese of Athabasca during this week. We pray for all congregations, for Bishop David, for lay workers, and for those who work behind the scenes. Strengthen their hands and hearts to share Your Word with bold love. May the light of the gospel shine through them in the darkness, bringing hope and compassion to the communities they serve. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.

Prayer Request

As you know, we have parishioners who are refugees, and one family has requested prayers for the children who were recently massacred in the village of Chukudum, Homiri Payam, Eastern Equatoria, South Sudan. Some of those who were killed were relatives of this family.

O God of mercy and compassion,
we lift before you the children who were killed in Chukudum, Homiri Payam, Eastern Equatoria, South Sudan. Receive them into your eternal peace and comfort all who mourn, especially the families among us who have lost their loved ones. Grant strength to the grieving, healing to the wounded, and peace to all places torn by violence and fear. May justice be served with truth and righteousness, and may those who suffer find hope and protection in your care. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

This is a reminder that parishes must confirm copyright permission for any movies or shows they are showing with the respective copyright holders.  The parish should keep a copy of the permission for their records.

If a parish records their service they are to use the CCLI licence number and follow the process.  All parishes have a CCLI license through the Diocese.
