Lord of ice and evergreens, you are a light shining in the darkest places.
As nature continues its work beneath a blanket of snow, work your way beneath the surface of our lives as well.
Use this season to prepare us for new growth and to help us slow down and hear your voice in the stillness.
We notice the contrasts of this season—its beauty and its challenges—and we long for your kingdom that is to come.
Protect those who face hardship this winter, and deliver us from the worst of the storms.
Show us how to spread the warmth of your love to all we encounter, to your honor and glory. Amen.
